Animal Magic paid a visit to the crèche on Thursday 27th April. The children saw lizards, owls, hamsters and even a snake! All proceeds went to Animal Magic to help fund the important work they do in caring for injured animals.

The preschool were very fortunate to have a jam making session with Siobhan from Simple Pleasures Preserves. Siobhan was fantastic and made lovely jam with the children and each child got to take home their own special jar of jam to enjoy with their family.

Preschool class made a trip to the Donkey Sanctuary on Friday 26th May. 23 children & 11 adults made the trip, setting off from the crèche on foot. We walked all around the donkey sanctuary, had a picnic, had a grooming session with the lovely Donkey Sanctuary staff and finally the children choose to adopt “Jacksie” the donkey. Huge thank you to the parents who volunteered on the day. It was extra special to share the experience with parents and to appreciate the fantastic facilities we have on our doorstep.

We had a huge surprise recently when Aidan & Katherine, Johns parents, brought their racing car and truck to the crèche for all the boys & girls to see. The children were very excited and got to explore the big truck as well as learn all about car racing! Many thanks to Aidan & Katherine for taking the time to do this and for bringing treats for the children. These are all wonderful examples of partnership with parents and we encourage all parents to get involved in any way they wish.

Library bus calls to crèche every fortnight and the preschoolers & afterschoolers go onto the bus and choose some library books.

Mini Me Yoga: Preschool staff are carrying out Yoga with children every Thursday for the month of June.

Details of the Affordable Childcare Scheme are available on We will be in touch with further information as and when details have been finalised.

We have had a great response to our parental survey. Any outstanding surveys can be popped into the boxes in reception or preschool until Friday 9th June. Thank You.
